Activate a volume or the Complete Series

First Bite, every volume, and the Complete Series are the same app. First Bite needs no key; each purchase comes with a license key that opens what you bought.

  1. Buy a volume or the Complete Series. Payhip emails your license key right after checkout.
  2. Download and install the app for your computer from the download section, if you have not already.
  3. Open the app and go to Settings & License.
  4. Paste your license key and choose Activate. The app checks the key online one time and unlocks the full library.

One license, one person, one active computer. Your license is for your own use and can be active on one computer at a time. You can move it whenever you like.

Working offline

Activation is the only moment the app needs the internet. Once it is activated, it runs completely offline for life: no sign-in, no periodic checks, no account. Updates are optional downloads from this site.

Move to a new computer

Moving takes about a minute, and you can do it as often as you need to.

  1. On the old computer, open Settings & License and choose Release this device. The app returns that computer to First Bite and shows a short release code. Keep the code; if the new computer reports that your license is still in use, send it to us with your key.
  2. Install the app on the new computer.
  3. Activate it with the same license key, exactly as you did the first time. Own several volumes? Release and reactivate each key.

Your progress, quiz scores, and achievements live on each computer. They do not travel with the license.

Lost or broken computer

If the old computer was lost, stolen, or will not start, you cannot release it from inside the app. That is fine. Email us your license key and the email address you used at checkout, and we will free the license so you can activate your new computer. We handle these requests by hand, usually within one business day.

Activate by email

If your computer cannot reach the internet at all, or online activation fails, you can activate by email instead.

  1. In Settings & License, type your license key and choose Create activation request. The app shows a block of text that contains only your key and this computer’s device ID.
  2. Copy the request and email it to support@velunapress.com from any device.
  3. We reply with a license certificate. Paste it under Paste your certificate and choose Activate.

The device ID is a one-way fingerprint. It ties your license to the computer and reveals nothing else about it.

Find your license key

  • Search your inbox for the Payhip receipt for The Hungry Ages. Each volume has its own key. The key is in that email and on the Payhip download page linked from it.
  • Keys look like FTA-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Copy and paste the whole key, including the dashes.
  • Still cannot find it? Write to us with the email address you used at checkout and we will resend it.
